Not like that, get your head out of the gutter! Put on your chef hat and get cooking! We all have those recipes we’ve always wanted to try but never have for whatever reasons. No more! This is harder than it sounds, but it’s just as rewarding.
When I have too much time on my hand I might start thinking too much. And don’t get me wrong, thinking in itself is a very helpful process. But there’s intentional, productive thinking and there’s the monkey mind just going on and on about stupid nonesense that tears us down. You know exactly what I’m talking about. Meditation is a beautiful and effective way to relieve your stress and clearing your head. But many of us get intimidated by the thought of meditating. We have that image of that fit yogini, that is seated in lotus and empties her head for an hour. You think you could never do that, right? Well, you don’t have to. There are so many ways to meditate, even through active movement.Check out those helpful guides to start meditating.
On the other hand taking care of the space you live and work in can be crucial to your health and creativity. Now that we’re spending so much time at home we might just as well make it as comfortable as possible and oftentimes this means letting go of things that just clutter up space but don’t add any value anymore. Minimalism is THE buzzword of the last years and thanks to that there is countless online content to help us with starting the process of letting go. I like that one by BecomingMinimalist..
That’s a very important one. We’re humans, we’re social animals and that’s why these corona times are so hard for us. Even my introverted friends are done with all the restrictions. Even THE INTROVERTS! That’s saying a lot. That’s why we need each other to lift our spirits. Be there, find creative solutions to socialize, compliment each other, support each other. Why not make pacts, where you agree on doing something “together” even if it is long distance? Gather a group of your friends and show your vision boards to each other, take an online course together, send each other pictures of your walk in nature. There are many ways to encourage each other and in turn you’ll be encouraged too!
As you see, there are MANY ways to lift yourself up, get inspired and gather your strength. But you know what? It’s okay to rest for a while too. Don’t force yourself to be active to the point of despair. Look at it as if it was a game, look at those ideas as playful ways to re-engage with your creative side.
How is it going so far? I’d love for you to share your experience with us! Leave a comment below and let us know how you are coping. YOU CAN DO IT!
